I have just finished this book and I really enjoyed a book being set in Scotland. As a Scot, I have not traveled to Skye, but this book has made me very intrigued to explore more of this wonderful country, I call my home.
Now back to the book, the main character is April Sinclair, who is an actress whose career has hit rock bottom, so she has returned to her hometown on the Isle of Skye. She is in need of distraction and has the goal to restore her family’s whisky distillery to its former glory. Mal is the Master distiller and is not pleased with this pampered princess poking her nose around. He believes she will be bored and leave after a few weeks; he is trying to wait her out. But their shared desire to save the distillery will give them a challenge they both want to work.

Review
I absolutely adored the writing style in this book; it completely captivated me right from the outset. I especially adore the use of dual POV in romance novels. It brings me immense joy as it provides a window into the minds of both characters. I don’t mind if they keep secrets from each other, but I crave every last detail.
While it would have definitely earned 5 stars, I felt that the ending was a tad abrupt. I yearned for more, which only fuels my anticipation for Callum’s book! I am eager to delve deeper into his and June’s story. I cannot contain my excitement for Alistair’s book either; I have a feeling it will be set in Glasgow!
